July...

Forth of July... It was a beautiful day on the 4th. The weather was perfect. Not too hot and sunny. We had a cookout with Grandma Maxine and Aunt Sharon & Uncle Glen. We had some good food.

We had sparklers, snap pops and bubbles! What fun!

WOW where did May go?

I cant believe how quickly the time is going. Its already the end of May. This past weekend we went to Indiana to visit Aunt Linda and Uncle Rick. We had so much fun! Jaden got to play with Brady and visit with his cousins Kristy and her husband Jeremy. And his cousin Jenny. We did so much we were worn out! We went to a flea market on Friday, Saturday went to a strawberry festival and to Hubers Orchards and Winery, then went to the Drive inn that night and watched Indiana Jones and Iron Man. Jaden didnt make it to Iron Man though, he konked out... I wish I had. I thought both movies were lame! OH well.... Here are some pictures of our weekend!

Jaden says:

My grandma is doing better, but she still needs prayers. She gets so frustrated because of having to take so many different medicines. Hopefully with the warm weather coming she can get out of the house a little bit and watch the cars go by and walk around her yard. I love getting to go over to my grandmas house and play with the neighbor kids, Ethan and Elijah. Thanks for praying for my grandma!! Jaden

My Grandma...

My Grandma had a light stroke on March 17, 2008. She is doing a little better, but still not that great. We have been spending a lot of time over there.
My Grandma in the background with my Aunt Sharon. I am watching BB a cute dog that belongs to my Great Aunt Gloria who is sitting on the couch!

My Aunt Linda came from Indiana to help out. We have been spending a lot of time at grandmas.. and this was some pictures of that... Jaden is standing by Aunt Linda and my Great Aunt Gloria, my grandmas sister is sitting on the couch.

Jaden also met a new friend... a little dog named BB that he fed his french fries to ...

OH NO... NOT THE FLASH!

Jaden hates the flash on the camera so he and daddy were both hiding their eyes...little rats!

Grandma Time!

Jaden and his Grandma. They are best buds!

Daddy's 40th Birthday!

March 8th was daddys 40th birthday. We celebrated by going with Grandma, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Glen and Nicholas to dinner at Pastabilities. It was delicious. Then we came back to our house for Cake!
Jaden had to help daddy blow out the candles... cause when you're 40 it gets hard!

These are the balloons mommy and Jaden got daddy.

This was the yummy black & white cake.. but the black turned everything black.. It wasnt too yummy!

Spring Mill and Corydon Dulmicer Society Jan 08

This picture is my sister playing one of the limberjacks along to the music. The kids love them. They are like little people dancing on the wooden paddle under their leg.

This is the Corydon Dulmicer Society. My sister and her husband play with this group. My brother in law is in the forefront of the picture playing the guitar. They have a big jam session every year at the Spring Mill State Park Lodge. We went this year and it was great fun. Lots of Music everywhere!

SNOW

Its snowing outside as I type this. I hate it. Only due to the fact that this city is LOUSY at cleaning the roads. I live on a side road... or not a main drag.. and they NEVER plow my street. It is a really slim road to begin with (just wide enough for 2 cars). Well since they don;t plow, it makes it about wide enough for one car...but if the snow is deep like they're calling for.. it makes it bad. If it is enough snow that we cant make it to work, we'll have some fun playing out in the snow with Jaden. Hes excited because he loves snow. But hes also young enough to not realize all that comes along with the snow. All he sees is snowballs, and building snowmen and making snow angels....I wish thats all I saw! But if we do get to stay home, i'll take some pictures of him and post them tomorrow... Until then.. Drive safely if you live in my town!

OMG...

Last time i was here blogging was October. With the holidays time flew and here it is almost the end of January.

We had a wonderful holiday season. Jaden was a blast this year because he really has the magic of Christmas in his heart. He was so excited about Santa that he actually went right to bed and was asleep within 10 minutes. Normally there is a fight that rages on in this department. A few days before we made special Christmas cookies to leave Santa. Jaden loved helping roll them out and cut them out and even decorate them. He didnt mind eating them either. Christmas Eve he was so excited. We left Santa 3 big cookies and left carrots out for the reindeer. We had to leave a carrot for each reindeer and one for Rudolph. Daddy checked the doppler to see where Santa was and he was in Mexico and heading for the US after that, so we told him he had to get to bed or Santa wouldnt stop. Thats all it took.. he was like... COME ON .. .lets go to bed. He climbed in, said his prayers and was out. The next morning we had to wake him about 7 a.m. Daddy and I were talking sort of loudly and saying... I wonder if Santa came.. and boy he popped up and said.. Did Santa come? I said.. I dont know... you better go check and see. He flew into the living room and said.. HE DID... HE DID COME... COME ON MOMMIE AND DADDY!!... it was a blast.

Aunt Carol and Jessica were here from Chicago and Daddy had to take them back to the train station to catch their train back to Chicago so while he did that, I cleaned up and Jaden played with his new toys.

We had a great time at my sisters house. Jake & Haley came by there and we all had a really nice visit. We sure were wiped out by the end of the day though!

The new year came and went so quickly that it doesnt even seem possible that its almost the end of January already.

We had Mom's birthday on Dec. 31st, then mine on Jan 04. Then there was Dad's. I cant believe he'll be gone 4 years this year. I didnt get over to his grave to wish him Happy Birthday because we were on our way to Linda's. We went with her and Rick to Spring Mill State Park. She and Rick play in a dulcimer band. They had a big jam session all weekend and the place was full of musicians and kids. It was a good time. Jaden loved the game room and the pool. He roamed all over in his footie pj's and loved every minute of it.

Well now here we are at almost the end of January. Things have quieted down and time is still flying. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures to catch everyone up with our wonderful holidays. Until then... stay safe and keep looking UP!
