Last time i was here blogging was October. With the holidays time flew and here it is almost the end of January.
We had a wonderful holiday season. Jaden was a blast this year because he really has the magic of Christmas in his heart. He was so excited about Santa that he actually went right to bed and was asleep within 10 minutes. Normally there is a fight that rages on in this department. A few days before we made special Christmas cookies to leave Santa. Jaden loved helping roll them out and cut them out and even decorate them. He didnt mind eating them either. Christmas Eve he was so excited. We left Santa 3 big cookies and left carrots out for the reindeer. We had to leave a carrot for each reindeer and one for Rudolph. Daddy checked the doppler to see where Santa was and he was in Mexico and heading for the US after that, so we told him he had to get to bed or Santa wouldnt stop. Thats all it took.. he was like... COME ON .. .lets go to bed. He climbed in, said his prayers and was out. The next morning we had to wake him about 7 a.m. Daddy and I were talking sort of loudly and saying... I wonder if Santa came.. and boy he popped up and said.. Did Santa come? I said.. I dont know... you better go check and see. He flew into the living room and said.. HE DID... HE DID COME... COME ON MOMMIE AND DADDY!!... it was a blast.
Aunt Carol and Jessica were here from Chicago and Daddy had to take them back to the train station to catch their train back to Chicago so while he did that, I cleaned up and Jaden played with his new toys.
We had a great time at my sisters house. Jake & Haley came by there and we all had a really nice visit. We sure were wiped out by the end of the day though!
The new year came and went so quickly that it doesnt even seem possible that its almost the end of January already.
We had Mom's birthday on Dec. 31st, then mine on Jan 04. Then there was Dad's. I cant believe he'll be gone 4 years this year. I didnt get over to his grave to wish him Happy Birthday because we were on our way to Linda's. We went with her and Rick to Spring Mill State Park. She and Rick play in a dulcimer band. They had a big jam session all weekend and the place was full of musicians and kids. It was a good time. Jaden loved the game room and the pool. He roamed all over in his footie pj's and loved every minute of it.
Well now here we are at almost the end of January. Things have quieted down and time is still flying. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures to catch everyone up with our wonderful holidays. Until then... stay safe and keep looking UP!

Maybe it's my hormones, but your Christmas Eve and Christmas morning story was sooooo sweet - it made me teary-eyed! I love the magic of Christmas through kids eyes! And I love how you both did everything to set it up to be wonderful and exciting for Jaden. What a lucky kid! And lucky parents to have all that fun with him.
